Hello and welcome! My name is Mikayla Avila, and I've been blessed to be a part of this nonprofit since it started in 2021. I started as an English tutor years ago, and now I'm honored to be the executive director and can't wait to serve our community in this capacity!
Hello and welcome! My name is Mikayla Avila, and I am honored to serve as the Executive Director of Ave Maria Homeschool Enrichment Academy.
I am so grateful to have the opportunity to support students and families through an educational community rooted in faith, curiosity, and a love of learning.
For the past decade, I have had the privilege of working in education across a variety of settings, including charter schools, private schools, and other educational environments. Throughout my experience, I have developed a deep appreciation for the many different ways students learn, grow, and discover their unique strengths.
Growing up, I was fortunate to have wonderful teachers and mentors who encouraged my natural curiosity and fostered my love of reading and learning. Those experiences shaped my belief that education should inspire students to ask questions, think critically, explore new ideas, and develop a lifelong love of learning!
It is my hope that Ave Maria Homeschool Academy can provide families with the encouragement, resources, and community they need to make that vision a reality!

Hello, my name is Breanna Mendoza, I hold the position of Secretary on the Board of Directors. I hold an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and soon will hold a Bachelors hopefully in 2027. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and attend Prince of Peace Catholic Church. My name is Breanna Mendoza, and I am honored to serve as the Board Secretary. I am truly excited to join the board and have the opportunity to support you and your children throughout this wonderful educational journey.
I have volunteered in numerous religious education programs for young learners and hold a degree in Business Administration. As someone who was homeschooled myself, I firmly believe it is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give their child. Homeschooling provides the opportunity to build a strong academic foundation rooted in faith, love, humility, and trust, while encouraging each child to embrace the unique person God created them to be.
I sincerely look forward to serving your family and helping make your experience at Ave Maria Enrichment Academy a meaningful and rewarding one. It is a privilege to be part of your child's educational journey, and I hope to provide you with the very best experience possible.

Hello y'all! My name is Sarah Tellez and I am honored to be serving as the Treasurer on the Ave Maria Homeschool Enrichment Academy Board of Directors.
I served as the Chemistry and Physics tutor for Ave Maria in the past and I am excited to be continuing this amazing program in a new position. I have a great love for homeschooling and I am pleased to see it continue to grow and fill the gap that many of our students need.
I was blessed to be homeschooled from Kindergarten through my senior year and I believe that homeschooling is the reason I was successful in my undergraduate years and in my current career.
I am excited for the new school year and I pray that we have an awesome, blessed, and educational school year and many more to come!

Hello! My name is Jose Henriquez and I look forward greatly to being a part of the AMHSA mission and community. Throughout my entire career as a student, I have been deeply blessed to work with many educators who taught me to love learning and have since been inspired to share this love with as many as possible. This, combined with a lifelong call to serve my community, has brought me everywhere from directing music clubs in high school, coaching at summer soccer camps, and being a Student Advocate and Mentor during my studies at University of Houston. All these opportunities to serve my communities and inspire joy in learning and service have brought me to Ave Maria Homeschool Academy in the hopes to continue doing so as part of the mission here.
While studying everything from my Faith to my fascinations do take up much of my time, I greatly enjoy spending time with my family and friends, or indulging in my other hobbies of cycling and musical theater. I am overjoyed to work with each and every student and their family to make this year as fun and fulfilling as possible!

Hello! My name is Francesca, and I am a parent of three children with whom I have enjoyed homeschooling over the past two years. In addition to my personal homeschooling experience, I have also taught with the Great Hearts after-school program. I am very excited to assist and support your family on this homeschooling journey.
Hello everyone! My name is Francesca Enyeart. I am a Mother to three children five and under. I have been on my homeschooling journey with my children for the past two years.
I have also taught in the after school program at Great Hearts. During my time working there, I was able to gain valuable experience in education and assisting children with learning challenges. This experience has taught me about various aspects about education and different approaches to teaching. I have come to truly love homeschooling and all the benefits that accompany. I believe in a strong homeschooling foundation with a focus on math, reading, writing, and science. This is what our group strives to accomplish.
I believe in our mission to assist homeschooling parents on their journey of educating their children with a strong foundation in core subjects. I am excited to be a part of this program and look forward to working with all of you.
